The mare performed perfectly with jockey Allan Chau at the helm to run out a comfortable winner in the Boggabri RSL Club Benchmark 54 Boggabri Cup (1600m).
It was her second Cup win in a matter of months after she snapped up the Wallabadah Cup on New Year’s Day.
She was earmarked for a start at Walcha but scratched due to a “leg problem”.
“She got tangled up and had some swelling,” Paula said.
A return at Quirindi was not successful either and she finished well back in the field.
“She needed the run but was too fresh and pulled too much,” Paula said.
The six-year-old chestnut found better luck at Gunnedah, her second win at Riverside, and paid healthy $14.80 dividends for her efforts.
Second home, three-and-a-half lengths off the pace, was the Gavin Groth-trained local horse, Em Double You Bee. Nina’s Pride, trained by Brian Jenkinson, picked up third.
Next up for Classic Attitude is a possible start at Tamworth on Friday-week or a run at the Narrabri Cup Benchmark 65 Handicap (1200m) on March 19.
