The school held an induction assembly last Thursday to present the selected leaders with their badges.
Vice-captains, captains and prefects chose family members to present their badges, with many mothers among them.
The school’s captains this year are Mackenzie Leader and Archer Harrison, supported by vice-captains Emma McCulloch and Trent White.
School principal Emma Jeffery addressed the assembly, outlining the role of a leader.
“Becoming a leader is an honour, privilege and an exciting opportunity to work with fellow students and teachers to continue to improve the school,” she told the assembly.
“As a leader, the best way to build credibility and gain the respect of others is to set the right examples. Demonstrate the behaviour that you want students to follow.”
Ms Jeffery said that leadership skills developed over time and each individual would develope their own capacity to “lead and influence others in a responsible manner”.
