Mr Anderson handed over a giant cheque for $593.20 raised through the sale of steaks at AgQuip in 2015.
Mr Anderson said the steaks had been donated to the Nationals AgQuip site by Teys Australia Tamworth.
Gunnedah Aged Care Services chief executive officer Sandra Strong said the cheque brought the total raised for a new bus to $11,500.
Money has also been raised through contributions by the Upper Namoi Cotton Growers Association and a private donation, along with proceeds from both the Lundie House and Alkira fetes.
“Every little bit counts,” Mrs Strong said. “And people have just been so generous.”
While the service could be looking at up to $100,000 for a 16-seater bus with a wheelchair lifter, Mrs Strong said Gunnedah Aged Care could consider a lease arrangement to have the bus up and running more quickly.
Mrs Strong said the bus would be used to take people between Lundie House and Alkira, and to go on day trips – including hopefully a visit to AgQuip this year.
