As part of the UGLY (Understanding Generous Likeable You) Bartender of the Year Leukaemia Foundation fund-raiser, Gunnedah Services and Bowling Club hosted a headshaving event.
Andrew Cherry, Michael Maturi, Scott Little and Adrian MacDougall were clean shaven by Carla Howes from the Barber’s Way.
Bar staff at a number of Gunnedah venues are among the 1450 who have joined UGLY Bartender of the Year.
Since the campaign was launched in 2009 UGLY bartenders around Australia have raised more than $6 million to help people with blood cancer.
Gunnedah’s total is likely to be more than $3500.
UGLY participants had to bank their funds yesterday to be in the running for UGLY Bartender of the Year.
