The ex-Gunnedah Red Devils junior and now Sydney Stars flyhalf will tackle CSU NSW Country Eagles at Chillingworth Park on Saturday, September 12.
Roberts debuted for Super 15 franchise, Melbourne Rebels, in 2013 and that same year, starred in the Combined NSW-Qld Country side which took on the British and Irish Lions in Newcastle.
In last week's round two NRC clash at Leichhardt Oval, the Stars won a high-scoring 50-40 contest against Queensland Country.
Roberts kicked four conversions from the Stars' seven tries in the game.
The second-placed Stars return to Leichhardt on Sunday to meet the Perth Spirit before their appearance in Tamworth.
The CSU Country Eagles will also host a food and wine festival before, during and after the Tamworth match.
There will also be a curtain-raiser game between Farrer Memorial Agricultural High School and The Armidale School. For entry tickets, click here.

- Instead of four-try bonus point system, the winning team is awarded a bonus point for finishing three or more tries ahead oftheir opponents.
- Reduced time limits down to 45 seconds for a penalty goal and 60 seconds for a conversion.
- Quick throw-ins are allowed even if touched by another player or person; must be same ball.
