The 2015 ANZ Championship runners-up guided 50 eager juniors in a coaching session.
The Gunnedah Netball Association said it was a rewarding experience with both Swifts players impressed by the skill level already developed by the local players.
On the sidelines were many of our coaches taking notes for their training sessions.
Junior players received a gift bag for their hard work and had the opportunity to have photos and autographs signed with Susan and Abbey.
Early indications are that the coaching session will return to Gunnedah next year as well.
In Gunnedah club competition, the 2015 season is fast arriving with grand finals set down for September 5.
This year the 10-and-under and the learners will play through until the grand final day which will be the NetSetGo Ambassador visit.
Kim Ravaillion from the Firebirds and Diamonds will visit with the girls and be a part of presentation.
The day will start at 10am for these players as Kim’s visit is for two hours.
On Tuesday, September 22, GNA will host another coaching clinic, this time with former Melbourne Vixens shooter, Catherine Cox and Queensland Firebirds defender, Rebecca Bulley.
This clinic will be aimed at 13 years and over with open players encouraged to join in and learn new skills from two of Australia’s best netballers.
