Gunnedah Evening VIEW Club members manned the gate, with all proceeds from the gold coin donation entry to go towards The Smith Family’s Learning for Life program.
The VIEW club members also cooked a barbecue to raise further funds.
The market is settling into its new venue at the Gunnedah Services and Bowling Club, with an array of stalls, including candles, quilts, jewellery, handmade children’s clothing and toys, bags, wooden products, food and more, lining the driveway and grass area.
A travelling visitor to this month’s event was Miss Gypsy Whitemoon, a fifth generation fortune teller using playing cards, who stopped in at the markets on her way to the Warrumbungles.
Miss Gypsy Whitemoon, who travels to festivals with her wooden card-reading caravan, is a full-time card reader, who profiles and predicts events with playing cards.
“All my customers receive a new deck of cards to shuffle; the results are very accurate using this method,” Miss Whitemoon said.
“Leading the way in cartomancy, I have developed a theory on how the cards work. Science tells us that the frequency that a human being has contains sound waves, light waves and atoms.
“This information I believe is your past, present and future.”
Miss Gypsy Whitemoon saw a number of market-goers through her caravan on Sunday and hopes to visit Gunnedah again.
The next Gunnedah Sunday Sessions and Markets will be held on May 10.
