Thousands of birds from the humble bush budgie to spectacular macaws were included in the expo held in the Judi Guest Basketball Stadium.
The show, one of the biggest of its kind in the country, also included trade stands with everything from cages to feed and breeding boxes in the nearby Griffith Pavilion.
The expo is hosted by the Namoi Valley Aviculture Club, which held its first sale in 1997.
The event was originally held in the PCYC, but quickly outgrew the venue.
In 2014 the Gunnedah Bird Sale and Expo attracted 227 exhibitors with more than 4800 birds and 36 trade stands.
Hundreds attended the expo on the weekend to take a look at birds from Australia and all around the world.
Exhibitors travelled from across Australia to attend.
The show did not include poultry or pigeons.
