Mr Hannay was targeted by thieves in incidents at Stock Road and Hopedale Avenue, with his vehicle also broken into, a window smashed, and a number of items stolen.
The latest incident occurring just last Monday.
“You can hear people going up and down the street in the middle of the night,” Mr Hannay said.
“People have caught kids in yards in my street, it is happening nearly every night.”
Mr Hannay said up until the latest incident, he felt not enough had been done and was concerned about the use of police resources.
“I’ve had positivity from the latest incident from police they are getting more proactive, but at the end of the day, I drive out of town for work and I see highway patrol booking people daily.
“I see more cops there than general patrols of town, they seem to be more focused on traffic crime.”
Mr Hannay said a 24-hour police station would be ideal for the town, but also expressed concern about the court system.
“Police can only do what they can do with the numbers they have, I understand their point of view,” Mr Hannay said.
“Someone needs to have a look at the court system as well, people seem to be generally let go, especially under age offenders.
“Ideally these people need to be caught and prosecuted and parents need to take responsibility for children in the street in the middle of the night.”
Mr Hannay is concerned if incidents continue to happen, vigilantes will form. “If it keeps going the way it is, these mobs form – people only take so much before taking it into their own hands.”
