So it was only fitting the 2014 Club Person of the Year honours was awarded not to an individual but the club as a whole.
All members pitched in to help repair the damage caused by the January bushfire including extensive work on the ranges and construction of a new clubhouse.
Among other club members to receive awards the club’s season presentation was Norm Webster who was presented the Dave Handicap Shield in 2014.
The award is a high honour with the shield awarded to the shooter who improved the most throughout the year.
Harrison Capper was in fine form with his shooting and achieved several personal best scores this season.
Brian Taylor capped off his highly successful year with a win in the men’s compound division.
He has shown exceptional improvement this year and is expected to produce more high quality shooting in the New Year.
Husband and wife team, Peter and Ann Stubbs, both topped their divisions to level the bragging rights ledger in the Subbs household.
Peter narrowly beat fine shooter Greg Capper for the win in the traditional recurve division.
The highly contested men’s sighted division was won by Greg Donovan who was in exceptional form over the course of the year to secure the title from rival, John Clark.
Meanwhile Capper also received the party animal of the year award – a light-hearted distinction acknowledging his humorous traits.
The club wished all members, family and friends a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
