The open day marked the official opening of the club’s exhibition All Fired Up currently displayed at the gallery.
The day saw visitors flow through with a large range of items featured throughout the gallery and demonstrations held outside.
Gunnedah Pottery Club president Geoff Dawson hailed the day a huge success and said all members were enthusiastic.
“We were very happy with the day, considering it was hot,” Mr Dawson said.
“The members really enjoyed showing people how pottery works and what we do and we received some very favourable comments regarding the exhibition.”
Three pottery wheels were in action as well as hand building stations for all ages.
“There was a lot of activity around and it was great to see people try different techniques and the kids having a go,” Mr Dawson said.
He said members saw some natural ability throughout the day and had enquiries for new members.
“Some people have also indicated they will sign up for the next pottery course through the Community College,” Mr Dawson said.
The All Fired Up exhibition will be on display until November 1.
