The house, well-known as the home of Mr McDonagh’s beloved train display was left in ruins following the early morning fire. Mr McDonagh was not at home at the time.
Mr McDonagh has said he will work to bring his train collection back to life. Gunnedah children have enjoyed visiting the trains since Mr McDonagh began the collection in 1988.
