Mr Anderson told about 50 people at the dinner that for the first time since July 2011, NSW was first among all Australian states and territories, moving up from third place in the last scorecard in July of this year, which he said reflected NSW’s stronger financial management over recent years.
After his speech, attendees were given the opportunity to ask Mr Anderson questions, which included issues like the recent shut down of Gunnedah Timbers, the relocation of the Visitor Information Centre and the under-use of facilities and resources at the Gunnedah TAFE.
The Sustainable Growth Subcommittee will host its second event on November 25. An executive of Gunnedah Shire Council will speak on sustainable growth in the region.
