Game two of the McDonalds Country Shield cricket swings into action on Sunday with the Gunnedah First XI side taking on Singleton at Howe Park.
Gunnnedah is running off a tight win against Narrabri earlier this month and will be keen to consolidate the victory with another this weekend.
Gunnedah captain Andy Mack is out of the team on Sunday due to a hand injury suffered in last weekend's War Veterans Cup match against North Tamworth.
Mack split the webbing adjacent to his index finger on his right hand and will be unavailable for the round two clash.
Another loss is fast bowler Tom O’Neill who has withdrawn due to family commitments.
Coming into the side is Court House all-rounder Farran Lamb and fast bowler Ben Irwin.
Gunnedah District Cricket Association president Mike Silver said Singleton was a bit of an "unknown quantity" but a side not to be taken lightly.
Gunnedah team for Sunday:
James Mack ©, Cameron Milne, Ben Haire, Brad Gander, Ryan Cooper, Sam Doubleday, Troy Sands, Farran Lamb, Blake Small, Andrew George, Jarad Smith and Ben Irwin.
Bus to leave Gunnedah Services and Bowling Club at 6am for Singleton.
