Gunnedah Shire Council will open the new Visitor Information Centre at the Civic, complete with a paint job for some of the complex.
Along with the adjustments to Chandos Street and the possibility of an inclusive playground at Wolseley Park, the changes are coming thick and fast.
The only real decider on the relocation of the information centre will be the figures. In a year’s time, council’s controversial decision will either be supported by increased visitors, or damned by decreased numbers.
The road and parking configurations continue to cause confusion, with people still reporting near-misses to the NVI.
It is a time of change in our shire, and all the growing pains that go with that change. Let’s hope something good grows out of this decision.
