The nationwide McHappy Day is held by McDonalds to raise money for Ronald McDonald House for families with seriously ill children.
This year’s national target was $3 million.
McDonald’s 920 restaurants across Australia held McHappy Day where people could donate in a fund-raising bucket or buy a Big Mac, with $2 from each sale going to Ronald McDonald House.
People could also buy a Helping Hand for $1 between October 1 and 18.
