“Never in my life have I had this experience,” die-hard Rabbitoh’s fan Vicki said.
“It was really something else.”
Vicki is proud to have been born and bred in South Sydney and her family now has four generations of Rabbitoh fans.
She went to see the Rabbitohs play last year and has followed them religiously alongside her dad Roy Morris, her kids and now her grandkids.
The family hosted a grand final party at their Gunnedah home, with the esky and the TV out the back.
“I nearly had to go and apologise to the neighbours,” Vicki said.
“There was yelling and screaming.
“I cried like a baby.”
Vicki said first point of call after the game was her dad, who found the family celebration a bit rowdy to attend.
“We were yelling at each other over the phone,” Vicki said.
The euphoria for the Morris family had not worn off yesterday morning as streamers flew from the front gate, and the family discussed the end of the Rabbitoh’s 43-year grand final drought.
