Rajib Kumar Maji, originally from India, and Martin Smit, originally from South Africa, became Australians at the ceremony.
Rajib has lived in Australia for eight years, while Martin arrived 13 years ago and has an Australian wife, Jessica, and two children, Xan and Rheef.
Xan, two, who waved the Australian flag excitedly at the ceremony held at the Smithurst Theatre, was diagnosed with neuroblastoma - a form of childhood cancer - at 13 months old.
Mr Smit said following extensive treatment, Xan was now doing well and he proved an enthusiastic participant in the ceremony.
