Success continues to follow Gunnedah Pony Club members who last week travelled to the Kootingal annual showjumping and dressage day.
The jumping consisted of three rounds – an AM7, AM5 and Grandprix.
Haylee Murrell, who was jumping B grade, was Gunnedah’s most successful competitor on the day.
She finished with two firsts, a second and was also crowned the overall B grade Champion.
Gunnedah’s youngest competitor on the day, Emylie Murrell, 8, jumped in E grade and earned a praise-worthy third and fourth for her efforts.
Miah Byrant braved the A grade competition and won two seconds and a third place ribbon. Miah also finished a fourth in her dressage test.
Phillippe Altmann jumped in C grade to place second in the Grandprix and fourth in dressage.
All riders were said to have jumped exceptionally well and can be proud of their efforts.
On Sunday Kootingal hosted its annual Blanch Trophy Day where Gunnedah fielded six riders among a field of more than 80 competitors.
The day consisted of four morning ring events and five sporting events in the afternoon.
Gunnedah riders again rode brilliantly and were among the top place-getters in all four morning events.
Daisy King, 8, was Gunnedah’s most successful rider on the day.
She finished with eight wins and a third to take out the highest point scorer award for 7-and-under 9 years girls.
Daisy also won the perpetual shield for the highest individual point score.
Harriet King won the highest point score for the 9-and under-11 girls and Flynn Newberry for the boys.
