The mercury continues to dip below zero at night, including a freezing –3.8 degrees Celsius last Thursday and –2.3 on Friday.
Temperatures also took a dive on the weekend, with Saturday recording a low of 0.4, –2.1 on Sunday and –2.3 on Monday.
The days however, have been warm and sunny, with maximums of up to 21 degrees.
“We’ve had this broad high pressure ridge, particularly the last week of south-east Australia and that has brought clear, calm nights where you have frosty mornings and sunny days,” a Bureau of Meteorology spokesperson said.
“It’s stable weather with no cloud around and is warm during the day.”
Things are expected to change, however, when it comes to the weekend when a few showers are forecast for the region.
There will be warmer nights of 4 degrees and 7 degrees and cooler days.
The longer forecast, from August through to October, shows warmer days and nights across most of NSW, however it will be drier in the south of the state.
“There is a neutral outlook for the north-west, with the forecast neither drier nor wetter,” the spokesperson said.
