Gallery owner Chris Burgess said the exhibition was an international one, featuring an eclectic collection of works he bought specifically for the event overseas.
“I go overseas every October and throughout the year and bring art back,” Mr Burgess said.
“These artists here are artists that no one in Australia has ever seen, unless they go to London.
“This is unique in Gunnedah and in Australia.”
Mr Burgess said some of the works for sale were original and others, such as the work of watercolour artist Sheree Valentine Daines, were high-quality prints. He said Valentine Daines was one of the best-known watercolour artists in the United Kingdom today.
“Sheree Valentine Davies has her own BBC program every fortnight,” he said.
“Her prints are limited edition and done in very low numbers. There are people who photograph and hand-embellish the works, giving them the 3D feel of an original painting.
“They are very valuable and very collectable, but the prints are a lot more affordable than the original.”
He said he liked to offer a range of artists, from those who specialised in traditional watercolours, to those who splashed out in modern acrylics.
Mr Burgess said he looked at works that were likely to have good investment value and a fresh look at colour.
“Everybody needs a bit of colour in their life,” he said.
The Art Exposed exhibition features 80 works from about 22 different artists. All of the works are for sale.
