It wasn’t drought breaking and was very patchy in areas, but rain did lift the spirits of drought-affected communities this week.
Since last Friday, Gunnedah Pool recorded 48.2mm, Curlewis 43mm, Tambar Springs and Premer 40mm, Breeza 37.4mm, Carroll 25mm and Mullaley 23.2.
A strong front brought bucketing rain yesterday afternoon, soaking dusty paddocks and causing some minor flash flooding.
Scattered showers are forecast for the region until Sunday.

Storm clouds have been brewing all day with predictions up to 40mm could fall in the New England and North West region.
A thunderstorm struck Gunnedah at around 3.30pm, bringing bucketing rain.
It will not be drought breaking, but any downpour will help lift the spirits of farmers battling the Big Dry.
